Introducing the Golux MVP Grant

Hey Founders,

The Golux MVP Grant is designed to support promising startups by reducing the costs of developing a functional MVP (Minimum Viable Product). We believe in building lasting partnerships and taking a stake in your success. We know how challenging it is in today’s market to secure investment without a product, so we offer a win-win solution for both parties.

How Does It Work?

Each month, we select a handful of startups based on our analysis and available resources. We offer co-financing of up to 60% of your MVP development in exchange for a 10% equity stake. You only cover 40% of the real cost of building the MVP. 

Our 60% investment is repayable only if you successfully raise funds from qualified investors (angel investors or VC funds) within 36 months. If you don’t secure investment, there’s no financial debt — we share the risk with you.

Golux Services

Our model is straightforward: we provide a specialized engineering team (including developers, UX/UI designers, a project manager, a technical lead, and a solutions architect) to bring your MVP to life.

We offer 3 tiers of MVP complexity:

1. Low Complexity: $45k per platform
2. Medium Complexity: $75k per platform
3. High Complexity: $100k+ per platform (custom quote for high complexity)

Platforms include web, Android, and iOS. Prices apply to a single platform. If you want two platforms, multiply the price by 2. For all three, multiply by 3.

Most cash-strapped startups choose to develop only the web platform, designed to be fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

What’s the Minimum Investment?

With our 60% co-financing:

• Low Complexity MVP: Your initial investment, with 60% off, is $18,000 — with $9,000 due at project start, $4,500 at the 3-month mark, and $4,500 upon release.
• Medium Complexity MVP: Your initial investment, with 60% off, is $30,000 — with $15,000 due at project start, $7,500 halfway through, and $7,500 upon release.

Additional Costs

Costs for servers, domain, 3rd party integrations, etc., are not included and typically run a few hundred dollars per month, continuing after the startup is built.

For your software to function smoothly and be quickly fixed if bugs arise, you’ll need support and maintenance. This also includes monitoring platform load, optimizing performance, and fixing bugs post-release. Below are the monthly maintenance costs:

1. Low Complexity Project: $600/month per platform
2. Medium Complexity Project: $1,000/month per platform for medium complexity projects
3. High Complexity Project: $1,000+/month per platform for high complexity projects

Prices apply to individual platforms (web, Android, iOS). For multiple platforms, multiply the cost accordingly.

Server and integration costs often start during development.

Maintenance payments only start after the release.

The Process

Step 1

It all starts with you filling out this form where you should describe the project in your own words.

Step 2

We read the submitted applications daily and decide whether we find the idea interesting. We also provide a rough estimate of the project and classify its complexity. This is an initial assessment and may change in the next step when we discuss in more detail what you want to accomplish. We typically respond within 2 business days, or 48 hours.

Step 3

In the response we send you, there will be our feedback and a link where you can schedule your first free meeting with us. The goal of that meeting is to get to know each other, discuss your idea, and highlight the values and success principles we adhere to. The most important thing is to define the scope of the project and see how we can achieve traction as quickly as possible.

The next steps

Further specific steps related to the workflow process and the project itself will be defined in collaboration with you as a partner team.

In short, it all begins with a Design Sprint (a few weeks) where we define wireframes, develop your brand (if needed), and complete UI/UX design. Simultaneously, we start building the software architecture of your system. Once these steps are finalized, we move into the build phase and, finally, launch your application live.
